What is an organic Transaction Certificate?
A Transaction Certificate is issued by an accredited organic certifier — for Ved Soul Ventures, that is Ecocert — for a specific shipment. It confirms that the goods in that consignment were produced and handled under a recognised organic standard (NPOP, USDA NOP, or EU Organic 2018/848) and links them back to a certified operator and an audited supply chain.
For shipments into the European Union, the equivalent per-consignment document is the Certificate of Inspection (COI), issued electronically through the EU TRACES NT system. Your control body and customs authority use it to accept the goods as organic at the border. Without it, product cannot be sold or labelled as organic in the destination market — regardless of how it was grown.
Why it adds time
Unlike your supplier’s own certification (which is held continuously), a Transaction Certificate is issued per consignment. The certifier verifies the specific lot: the input certification, the processing and handling records, the quantities, and the traceability chain for that shipment. That review, and the certifier’s own issuance queue, is what adds roughly 2–4 weeks on top of production and freight.
